Privacy statement
Who we are. Horve IFC Viewer and this license service are operated by Svein Horve, Norway. Contact for anything on this page: lisens@shorve.no.
What this service stores
- Your email address and an opaque identifier from the sign-in provider.
- Your company membership and role (when a company licenses your seat), license type and trial/entitlement dates.
- A coarse last-seen date (updated at most hourly when the app renews its license).
- An administrative change log (who invited/removed/licensed whom, and when).
That is the complete list. We store no names (beyond what your email address itself reveals), no payment details (invoicing is handled outside this system), and no usage analytics. Passwords are never seen by this service — sign-in is handled entirely by the identity provider.
What the desktop app sends
Horve IFC Viewer contacts this service only to obtain and renew its license: it sends your sign-in token and the app version, and receives a license file. Your IFC models and project files never leave your computer.
Why we process it
To issue and enforce licenses, administer company seats and trials, and provide support — i.e. to perform the license agreement with you or your company (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in preventing license misuse (art. 6(1)(f)).
Who processes it for us
- Auth0 (Okta) — sign-in and account credentials, EU region.
- Resend — delivery of invitation and account emails.
- Our hosting provider — the license server runs on a server in the EU/EEA.
Data is not shared with anyone else, and never sold.
Cookies
This portal sets only the essential sign-in session cookie. No tracking or marketing cookies, here or in the app.
Retention & your rights
Account data is kept while you hold a license or trial and for a reasonable period after, then deleted. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time: email lisens@shorve.no. Deletion removes your account here and at the identity provider; the administrative log is anonymised. You may also complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority).
